Tab Bag — Terms & Privacy
Effective date: February 11, 2026
Terms of Service
NOTICE: Please read these Terms carefully. They cover important information about the Tab Bag Chrome extension provided to you. These Terms include information about future changes to these Terms, limitations of liability, a class action waiver, and resolution of disputes by arbitration instead of in court.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR USE OF AND ACCESS TO TAB BAG (DEFINED BELOW) ARE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS; IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, YOU MAY NOT INSTALL OR USE TAB BAG IN ANY MANNER.
Welcome to Tab Bag
Please read on to learn the rules and restrictions that govern your use of the Tab Bag Chrome extension (the “Extension” or “Tab Bag”). If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding these terms or Tab Bag, please contact us using the contact information provided at the bottom of this page.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding contract between you and Geshido Corporation (“Geshido,” “we” and “us”). You must agree to and accept all of the Terms, or you don’t have the right to install or use Tab Bag. Your installing or using Tab Bag in any way means that you agree to all of these Terms, and these Terms will remain in effect while you use Tab Bag. These Terms include the provisions in this document, as well as those in the Privacy Policy.
What is Tab Bag?
Tab Bag is a browser extension that provides quick access to websites you configure. Tab Bag is available for Google Chrome and may work with other browsers that support the WebExtensions API standard.
Will these terms ever change?
We are constantly trying to improve Tab Bag, so these Terms may need to change along with the Extension. We reserve the right to change the Terms at any time, but if we do, we will bring it to your attention by updating the extension, placing a notice on our website, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means.
If you don’t agree with the new Terms, you are free to reject them; unfortunately, that means you will no longer be able to use Tab Bag and should uninstall the extension. If you use Tab Bag in any way after a change to the Terms is effective, that means you agree to all of the changes.
Except for changes by us as described here, no other amendment or modification of these Terms will be effective unless in writing and agreed to by both you and us.
The most recent version of these Terms and Privacy Policy is available at https://geshido.com/terms-privacy. If the version available online is newer than the version displayed in the extension, the online version supersedes the in-extension version.
What about my privacy?
Geshido takes the privacy of its users very seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how your data may be used and stored due to your use of the Extension.
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires that online service providers obtain parental consent before they knowingly collect personally identifiable information online from children who are under 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from children under 13; if you are a child under 13, please do not attempt to install or use Tab Bag or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us personal information, please contact us at support@geshido.com.
What are the basics of using Tab Bag?
Tab Bag is a browser extension that does not require you to create an account with Geshido. The extension operates entirely locally in your browser.
You represent and warrant that if you are an individual, you are of legal age to form a binding contract (or if not, you’ve received your parent’s or guardian’s permission to use the Services and gotten your parent or guardian to agree to these Terms on your behalf).
You will only use Tab Bag for your own internal, personal, non-commercial use, and not on behalf of or for the benefit of any third party, and only in a manner that complies with all laws that apply to you. If your use of Tab Bag is prohibited by applicable laws, then you aren’t authorized to use Tab Bag. We can’t and won’t be responsible for your using Tab Bag in a way that breaks the law.
Your use of Tab Bag is subject to the following additional restrictions:
You represent, warrant, and agree that you will not use Tab Bag in a manner that:
- Infringes or violates the intellectual property rights or any other rights of anyone else (including Geshido)
- Violates any law or regulation, including, without limitation, any applicable export control laws
- Is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Violates the security of any computer network, or cracks any passwords or security encryption codes
- Interferes with the proper working of Tab Bag
- Decompiles, reverse engineers, or otherwise attempts to obtain the source code or underlying ideas or information of or relating to Tab Bag
A violation of any of the foregoing is grounds for requesting that you cease using Tab Bag.
What are my rights in Tab Bag?
You understand that Geshido owns Tab Bag. You won’t modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works based on, or otherwise exploit Tab Bag without prior permission from Geshido.
All configuration data that you create in Tab Bag remains your data.
License Grant and Restrictions
Grant of License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Geshido Corporation grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Tab Bag for your individual use. Each license is issued to a single individual and may not be shared with or used by any other person.
Current Free Use: Tab Bag is currently available at no charge. Geshido reserves the right to require a paid license for continued use of Tab Bag at any time in the future. If Geshido decides to require payment, notice will be provided either through updates to these Terms of Use or through an automatic software update to the extension. You will then have the opportunity to decide whether to purchase a license to continue using Tab Bag.
Multi-Device Use: A valid Tab Bag subscription permits you to install and activate Tab Bag on multiple devices that you personally own or control for your individual use. This multi-device capability is intended to accommodate your use across personal computers (such as work and home computers) and does not permit sharing with other individuals.
Non-Transferable and Non-Shareable: Your license to use Tab Bag is personal to you as an individual and may not be transferred, assigned, shared, sold, or otherwise conveyed to any other person or entity. You may not permit any other individual to use Tab Bag under your license, and each user must obtain their own separate subscription from Geshido.
License Revocation: Geshido reserves the right to revoke your license at any time if you breach these Terms or misuse Tab Bag, including but not limited to sharing your license key with others or permitting other individuals to use Tab Bag under your license.
Data storage and management
Tab Bag stores your configuration data in your browser in accordance with the terms of its Privacy Policy. The integrity and privacy of your data depends on your browser functioning according to specifications. Geshido is not responsible for any issues caused by browser malfunctions or deviations from expected behavior.
Online Services
While Tab Bag’s core functionality operates locally in your browser, the extension may connect to third-party servers for the following purposes:
- Update checks: Your browser may periodically check for available updates through the Chrome Web Store (or other browser extension stores). These checks are handled by your browser and the extension store, not by Geshido.
- License validation: If Geshido requires payment for Tab Bag in the future, Tab Bag may connect to third-party payment processor servers to verify the validity of your license.
- Future services: Tab Bag may include additional online features in the future. These features may require internet connectivity and may transmit additional technical information as necessary for their operation. Geshido will provide notice of any such features and an opportunity to accept or decline usage before they are enabled.
You may disable automatic update checks in your browser’s extension settings. Core offline functionality of Tab Bag will continue to function without an internet connection, though license validation (if required in the future) would require connectivity.
Does Geshido have any publicity rights?
Geshido may contact you to request if we may use your trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, and other distinctive brand features in presentations, marketing materials, customer lists, financial reports and website listings for the purpose of advertising or publicizing your use of Tab Bag. We will not publicize your use of Tab Bag without prior authorization.
Data and licenses
Tab Bag does not require you to provide any data to Geshido. All configuration data that Tab Bag stores remains your data and is stored only locally in your browser (including synced storage). Geshido does not claim ownership of your configuration data or any other personal information.
If you choose to share logs or diagnostic information with Geshido for support purposes, you are responsible for redacting or removing any sensitive information before sharing. By sharing such information, you grant Geshido a license to use this information solely for the purpose of providing support and improving Tab Bag.
Third party dependencies and limitations
Tab Bag operates on browser extension platforms (such as the Chrome Web Store operated by Google). Geshido shall not be responsible for the operation of these platforms, nor the availability or operation of Tab Bag to the extent such availability and operation is dependent upon these platforms. You shall be solely responsible for procuring any rights necessary for you to access your browser and for complying with any applicable terms or conditions.
You are responsible for all activity in connection with Tab Bag.
If there is a dispute between you and any third party (including Google, your employer, or system administrators), you agree that Geshido is under no obligation to become involved. You release Geshido, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and successors from claims, demands, and damages of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and/or Tab Bag. If you are a California resident, you shall and hereby do waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which, if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.”
Will Geshido ever change Tab Bag?
We’re always trying to improve Tab Bag, so it may change over time. We may introduce new features, modify existing features, or discontinue Tab Bag entirely. We reserve the right to make these changes at any time, in our sole discretion, and without prior notice.
Does Tab Bag cost anything?
Tab Bag is currently available at no charge. You may use Tab Bag without any payment requirements.
Geshido reserves the right to require a paid license for continued use of Tab Bag at any time in the future. We may also introduce additional paid features or premium tiers. If we decide to require payment for Tab Bag, we will provide notice through updates to these Terms of Use and/or through an automatic software update to the extension. You will have the opportunity to decide whether to purchase a license to continue using Tab Bag under any new pricing terms.
Payment Processing
If Geshido requires payment for Tab Bag in the future, payment processing will be handled through a third-party payment processor designated by Geshido (“Payment Processor”). When payment is required:
- Your payment information (including name, email, billing address, and payment details) will be collected and stored by the Payment Processor in accordance with their privacy policy and terms of service.
- Geshido may have access to certain information from the Payment Processor, including your name, email address, and license status, solely for the purpose of providing customer support.
- Geshido will not use your contact information obtained through the Payment Processor for marketing purposes.
- Tab Bag may contact the Payment Processor’s servers to validate your license status.
Geshido reserves the right to select or change payment processors at its discretion. Any such changes will be communicated through extension updates and/or updates to these Terms.
Other Geshido Products and Donations
Geshido may offer other applications, services, or donation options separate from Tab Bag. Each Geshido product has its own licensing terms.
Paid licensing and future services
Geshido may require a paid license for continued use of Tab Bag at any time, or may introduce additional paid features or premium services (such as enhanced functionality or team features). Notice of any such requirements or features will be provided through updates to these Terms of Use and/or through an automatic software update to the extension. Any paid licensing or services will have their terms and pricing presented at the time they are introduced.
Refund policy
Tab Bag is currently available at no charge, so no refunds are applicable. If Geshido requires payment for Tab Bag in the future, a refund policy will be presented at that time.
What if I want to stop using Tab Bag?
You’re free to stop using Tab Bag at any time by uninstalling the extension from your browser. Since Tab Bag stores data only locally in your browser (including synced storage), uninstalling the extension will remove all locally stored data.
Geshido may also request that you cease using Tab Bag for any reason in our discretion, including your breach of these Terms.
Provisions that, by their nature, should survive termination of these Terms shall survive termination. By way of example, all of the following will survive termination: any obligation you have to pay us or indemnify us, any limitations on our liability, any terms regarding ownership or intellectual property rights, and terms regarding disputes between us, including without limitation the arbitration agreement.
What else do I need to know?
Warranty disclaimer
Geshido provides Tab Bag “AS IS” without warranty of any kind. We make no representations or warranties concerning Tab Bag, and we will not be responsible or liable for the accuracy, reliability, or functionality of Tab Bag. TAB BAG IS PROVIDED BY GESHIDO ON AN “AS-IS” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT USE OF TAB BAG WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Accessibility disclaimer
While we strive to make Tab Bag accessible and may reference accessibility features in our marketing materials, such references do not create any legal obligation or guarantee to accommodate any particular person, disability, or accessibility need. Any accessibility features are provided on a good faith, best effort basis.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, TORT, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) SHALL GESHIDO (OR ITS LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS) BE LIABLE TO YOU OR TO ANY OTHER PERSON FOR (A) ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, OR COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR (B) ANY AMOUNT, IN THE AGGREGATE, IN EXCESS OF THE GREATER OF (I) $100 OR (II) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO GESHIDO FOR TAB BAG IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTH PERIOD PRECEDING THIS APPLICABLE CLAIM, OR © ANY MATTER BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BROWSER MALFUNCTIONS OR BROWSER DEVIATIONS FROM EXPECTED SPECIFICATIONS. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION AND EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnity
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Geshido, its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages (actual and consequential), losses and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from or in any way related to any third party claims relating to (a) your use of Tab Bag, and (b) your violation of these Terms. In the event of such a claim, suit, or action (“Claim”), we will attempt to provide notice of the Claim to the contact information we have for you (provided that failure to deliver such notice shall not eliminate or reduce your indemnification obligations hereunder).
Assignment
You may not assign, delegate or transfer these Terms or your rights or obligations hereunder in any way (by operation of law or otherwise) without Geshido’s prior written consent. We may transfer, assign, or delegate these Terms and our rights and obligations without consent.
Choice of law
These Terms, and any disputes arising out of or related hereto, are governed by and will be construed under applicable federal law and the laws of the State of California, without regard to the conflicts of laws provisions thereof.
Each party hereby agrees that any judicial proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts located in, respectively, San Mateo County, California, or the Northern District of California.
Each party hereby consents and submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts. In any action or proceeding to enforce rights under the Terms, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its reasonable costs and attorney’s fees.
Entire agreement
The Terms, including the Privacy Policy and any terms incorporated by reference into the Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals or representations, written or oral, concerning its subject matter. To the extent of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions in these Terms and any pages referenced in these Terms, the terms of these Terms will first prevail.
Miscellaneous
You will be responsible for paying, withholding, filing, and reporting all taxes, duties, and other governmental assessments associated with your activity in connection with Tab Bag, provided that Geshido may, in its sole discretion, do any of the foregoing on your behalf or for itself as it sees fit. The failure of either you or us to exercise, in any way, any right herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated, to the minimum extent necessary, so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. You and Geshido agree that these Terms are the complete and exclusive statement of the mutual understanding between you and Geshido, and that these Terms supersede and cancel all previous written and oral agreements, communications and other understandings relating to the subject matter of these Terms. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you are not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venture of Geshido, and you do not have any authority of any kind to bind Geshido in any respect whatsoever.
Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. Tab Bag is designed with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains how Tab Bag handles your data and information.
What this privacy policy covers
This Privacy Policy covers how Tab Bag treats data when you use the browser extension. Tab Bag is designed to operate entirely locally in your browser with minimal data handling by Geshido Corporation (hereafter “Geshido”).
Data collection and storage
What we do NOT collect automatically
Tab Bag does not automatically collect any data from you. Specifically:
- We do not collect any personal information or identifiable data
- We do not collect any analytics or telemetry data
- We do not collect your browsing history or user credentials
- We do not track your usage patterns or extension behavior
- We do not use cookies, web beacons, or any tracking technologies
Data collected through payment processing
If you purchase a subscription, personal information is collected and stored by our Payment Processor (currently Lemon Squeezy, LLC, a subsidiary of Stripe, Inc., or any successor service). This includes:
- Name and email address
- Billing address
- Payment method details (handled securely by the Payment Processor)
- Subscription status
Geshido has access to your name, email address, and subscription status from the Payment Processor. This information is retained solely for customer support purposes (such as helping you activate or transfer your subscription). We will not use this information for marketing purposes. The Payment Processor’s handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.
How your data is stored
Tab Bag is designed to keep all your data local and private:
- Local storage only: All configuration data that Tab Bag stores is kept in your browser’s local storage
- Synced storage: Tab Bag also uses your browser’s synced storage area to synchronize your configuration across devices signed into the same browser account. Browser accounts are maintained and operated by the creators or maintainers of that browser, such as Google or Mozilla.
- User control: You can clear all extension data at any time using your browser’s built-in controls or through Tab Bag’s Support page
- No external transmission: Your configuration data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to Geshido’s servers or any third-party servers
- Network calls: Tab Bag may connect to Payment Processor servers for subscription validation (see “Data transmitted during online services” below). Update checks are handled by your browser through the Chrome Web Store, not by Tab Bag directly
Data you may choose to share
The only data Geshido may receive is information you voluntarily choose to share:
- Optional log sharing: If you experience issues with Tab Bag, you may choose to share logs or diagnostic information with Geshido for support purposes
- Your responsibility: If you choose to share logs, you are responsible for reviewing and redacting any sensitive information before sharing
- Support only: Any information you share is used solely for providing support and improving Tab Bag
Data transmitted during online services
When Tab Bag connects to the Payment Processor’s servers for subscription validation, your license key is transmitted to verify its validity. This occurs when you register a subscription and during periodic revalidation checks. This information is used solely to validate subscriptions. We do not use this information for tracking, profiling, or advertising purposes.
Extension updates are handled by your browser through the Chrome Web Store (or other browser extension stores), not by Tab Bag or Geshido directly. Any data transmitted during update checks is governed by your browser’s and the extension store’s privacy policies.
Third-party data processors
Geshido uses Lemon Squeezy, LLC (a subsidiary of Stripe, Inc.), or any successor service, as its Payment Processor for subscription purchases and validation. Geshido reserves the right to transfer subscription validation and payment processing to a different third-party provider. If such a transfer occurs, we will provide notice through extension updates, email (if we have your email address from a previous purchase), and/or updates to this Privacy Policy and the Tab Bag website. The third-party provider’s handling of your data will be governed by their own privacy policy.
Third-party services
Browser extension platform
Tab Bag operates as a browser extension designed for Google Chrome and may work with other browsers that support the WebExtensions API standard. It uses browser extension APIs for local storage, synced storage, and functionality. It follows applicable browser extension store policies and guidelines.
Data security
Since Tab Bag stores all data locally in your browser, your data security depends on your browser’s security and your device’s security. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated. When you uninstall Tab Bag, all locally stored data should be removed according to browser specifications. Geshido is not responsible for any issues caused by browser malfunctions or deviations from expected data handling behavior. Data storage and security depend on your browser functioning according to specifications.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If you are a child under 13, please do not attempt to use Tab Bag or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
Your rights and choices
Since Tab Bag does not collect personal data automatically, traditional data rights (like access, deletion, or portability) are not applicable in the usual sense. However:
- You can stop using Tab Bag at any time by uninstalling the extension
- All locally stored data should be removed when you uninstall the extension (subject to browser behavior)
- You can manually clear extension data at any time using browser controls or Tab Bag’s built-in options
- You control what, if any, information you choose to share with us for support
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by updating the extension and/or posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of Tab Bag after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
